                                                                              My Autumn story

Around this time last year, my usual favourite place would be my Rugby club fields, with its Big open space and beautiful trees that comes with the Autumn season.
My Rugby club, has a clubroom, plus 10 fields, big building that has a Gym, and changing rooms.  Can you imagine how massive the place is and lots of trees around?

I was 6 years old by the time I joined my brother  Jabal’s team. Our Mum always make sure that we never missed a team practice. And my little brother Tolati always tag along, sometimes my Dad comes too, when he finish work early.

Saturdays was when the real game starts, and we got to play against other teams from other Rugby clubs. Most times during a game, I’m not quite sure if I‘m in the right team or not. Remember I’m six years old, playing on the 8 open grade and some of the boys were huge, on top of that it was my first time playing Rugby tackle.
Having my brother helps me to never give up, and I love rugby too much to back out, and being outdoor it’s so cool.

                                                                       Basket of Fire

Ngatoro-i-rangi was a brave explorer. He was a expert at many things. He knew about stars and the sea, and magic. Many years ago when the first people came and made Aotearoa their home, Ngatoro-i-rangi sails his Waka all the way from Hawaii. When he arived in Aotearoa he set off  to explore the new land. He found a place with a huge lake and many mountains. Today, we call that place Taupo.
In order for him to claim these places he needed help from his sister back in Hawaiki. With magic the sisters were able to send  the Basket of Fire through the Gods all the way to Aotearoa!
With Kete of fire it helps Ngatoro-i-rangi able to claim the mountains.

              Taro Plants in my Backyard

Taro Plants are very interesting Plants, some of the things I have notice about them are that you can use the leaves for green vegetables, like silverbeet . And it’s root produce Taro crops.

I remembered when I helped my Dad to Plant we didn’t used seeds instead we use stalk and a little bit of root on it.

Taro leaves are one of my favourite food especially when you add meat and coconut cream and cook them in the Oven!

I am being kind at home by helping my little brother do his work on his Ipad when my parents are busy with other chores. My tasks in my house everyday are tidy up the living room and putting away the toys especially the LEGO pieces because it’s very annoying and dangerous to step on them.
I care and be kind to myself by taking care and looking after myself to be clean like brushing my own teeth and changing my clothes, and It’s give my Mum’s a break too.

Task 3 My Alien

My Aliens, are Martian  and they come from planet Mars. Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun and the next planet beyond Earth and is known as the red planet.
Mars is about one-sixth the size of earth. It gets its red colour from the iron oxide (like rust) in its soil.
It’s very cold the temperature on Mars is minus 80 degrees. It’s surface is rocky, Dry lake beds and craters all over it.
Mars has about one-third the gravity of earth. Mars has two small moons. Their names are Phobos and Deimos, and has clouds and wind just like Earth.
They are very smart with  making spaceship and weapons. If kids disided to go to Mars they must be prepared to have oxygen masks to be able to breathe and survived on Mars.

Mars Needs Moms.

Task: 2 Covid-19

My understanding of this Virus, Covid-19 is a person to person transmission and it can be spread by coughing from a person that got the virus and you don’t get sick right away, that is why it’s very hard to trace. That is why we stay at home at all times.
Here’s a video of how I have been keeping myself  busy at home and staying healthy on my bubbles!

Wash your hands at all times especially when you a about to have food and touching stuff outside my house and off course using the toilet!
